Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory tests and provide leadership in specialized areas. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and at least five years of relevant experience.

This role involves developing new tests, training staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Compensation ranges from $30.05 to $43.75 per hour, with additional benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Five years of clinical laboratory experience as a certified medical technologist.
• Certification from ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new tests in consultation with physician directors.
• Train staff in the technical specialty and ensure competence.
• Perform moderate and high complexity tests, interpreting results accurately.

Skills

Proficiency in CLIA-defined high complexity testing

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Manual/visual dexterity for specimen preparation

Venipuncture techniques

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field
