UMass Memorial Health is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist in Central Massachusetts. The role involves performing and interpreting a broad range of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests, and supporting diagnosis and treatment decisions across POCT platforms.

The incumbent will travel to offsite clinics, cover second shift when needed, and work in a 40-hour weekly schedule. A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and 3 years of related experience are required; ASCP MT

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
Three years of related experience.

Mansioni

Follows established protocols to perform various tests, including the most complex, for an assigned area.
Interprets and correlates clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition.
Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies.
Assists in development of new tests and quality procedures.
Ensures test results meet the laboratory quality control program requirements.
Performs preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Instructs staff in setup and operation of equipment and procedures.
Maintains accurate records of tests performed using computer systems.
