Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist to perform and interpret a range of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment. The role requires travel to offsite clinics where POCT is located and flexibility for second shift when needed.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent) with ASCP MT certification preferred and at least three years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year school of Medical Technology.
• ASCP certification as an MT is preferred.
• Three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform various tests, including the most complex, for an assigned area.
• Interprets and correlates clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition in order to explain test results.
