Job summary

OrthoColorado Hospital, part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a Senior Medical Staff Coordinator to manage governance, credentialing and privileging for multiple Medical Staffs across locations. You will ensure quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and smooth operations while coordinating education and onboarding for providers.

Responsibilities include leading credentialing processes, ensuring data integrity, and supporting physician leadership with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years credentialing/medical staff/payor enrollment experience.
• Knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, and Department of Health standards.
• Strong leadership and negotiation abilities between physicians and hospital departments.
• Proficient computer and database management with credentialing software.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and authenticates credentialing applications for all Medical Staff, Advanced Practice Provider, Clinical Assistant, Medical Scribes across the system.
• Ensure database integrity and currency of all credentialing elements for high volume of providers.
• Serve as the technical resource regarding accreditation standards, bylaws, and policies and procedures governing the medical staff.
• Educate and serve as the technical assistant to volunteer physician leadership in evaluation of clinical competence and credentialing requests.
• Lead a team of medical staff coordinators and specialists; participate in orientation and training of new associates.
• Direct, facilitate and motivate physician leaders to accomplish assigned tasks with matters of significance to department business.
