Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to join the US Medical team. This field-based role analyzes, interprets and disseminates scientific data, builds expert networks, and connects customers to Takeda to advance medical strategy and patient outcomes.

The Midwest territory (ideally Chicago, IL) requires strong communication, collaboration, and the ability to work virtually with cross-functional teams, with travel up to 70% of the time.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
• Master's degree in health sciences is the minimum requirement.
• Minimum of 2 years of field-based MSL experience in pharma.
• Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities to ~80% of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and competitors.
• Support sponsored research and investigator-initiated studies.
• Collect and communicate medical insights to refine strategies.
• Identify opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in medical strategy at conferences and sessions.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP inquiries with compliant info.
• Complete CRM entries, training and expenses accurately and timely.
