Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to join the US Medical team overseeing the Southwest region (Los Angeles ideal). This field-based role focuses on external relationships, scientific data interpretation, and compliant dissemination to KOLs/HCPs.

You will travel up to 70% when engaging with investigators, present scientific insights at conferences, and support Takeda-sponsored research while ensuring regulatory compliance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities comprise ~80% of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; interpret and disseminate data to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant manner.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
• Capture medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform medical strategies/tactics.
• Identify partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Represent medical insights at conferences and internal briefings.
• Complete CRM entries, insights capture, training, and admin tasks timely and accurately.
• Travel up to 70% including overnight stays; drive or fly to meetings.
