Job summary

Takeda seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to serve as a field-based medical expert, supporting medical strategy and external engagement in the Southwest US (ideal LA location). The role emphasizes KOL/HCP interactions, data interpretation, and compliant communication of scientific information.

The MSL will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, support Takeda-sponsored research, and ensure timely, compliant documentation of activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of field-based MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills.
• Ability to disseminate complex scientific data to healthcare audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
• Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities to 80%+ of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; interpret data for KOLs/HCPs.
• Support sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
• Capture and communicate medical insights to inform strategies and tactics.
• Identify partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Present at medical conferences and communicate insights from attendance.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries within defined timelines.
• Complete CRM entries, insights, training, and expense reporting timely and accurately.
