Job summary

Takeda seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for the Southwest US region, based remotely in the United States. The role is field-based, focusing on external engagement with KOLs/HCPs and advancing Takeda medical strategy.

Travel up to 70% and collaboration across the US Medical team are required. Ideal candidates hold a doctoral or master’s degree in health sciences, with at least 2 years as an MSL and strong communication, collaboration, and scientific leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Dissemination of complex scientific data to healthcare audiences
• Relevant therapeutic area knowledge and expertise
• Clinical, research, and/or teaching experience
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams
• Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities should be ≥80% of responsibilities
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with medical studies
• Collect and internally communicate medical insights to refine strategies
• Identify partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
• Participate in medical conferences and disseminate insights
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries
• Complete CRM entries, training, expenses, and administrative duties on time
