Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Practice Manager III to supervise operational, HR, administrative, and business functions across large-scale, multi-specialty practices. You will support patient-centric care and ensure efficient scheduling, referrals, and back-office operations.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and process improvement skills with accountability for staff performance and regulatory compliance in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; BLS certification or obtainable within 30 days.
• Minimum seven years of progressive medical office experience (registration, back-office, scheduling, billing).
• Minimum three years supervisory or management experience in healthcare.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ambulatory care management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clinic operations for large scale/multi-specialty practices, supervising staff and processes.
• Oversees patient scheduling, registration, appointments, authorizations, and referrals.
• Manages HR functions, staffing orientation, and training materials.
• Monitors provider scheduling, performance data, and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts performance appraisals and counsels staff; initiates disciplinary actions when needed.
• Leads recruitment, hiring, and job descriptions in collaboration with HR.
• Ensures safety, facilities, IT training, and HIPAA privacy adherence.
• Oversees revenue management, cash handling, and charge capture processes.
