Job summary

Intermountain Health in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Certified Medical Physicist to lead design, optimization, and QA for advanced radiation treatment plans. You will collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists to ensure precise, safe patient care.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and adoption of new technologies under the supervision of the Chief Physicist. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
• Board certification by ABR/ABMP or Canadian College in Radiation Oncology Physics.
• State licensure to practice; RAM license for HDR where required.
• Colorado site requirement for RAM/QI/QE(t).

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and evaluate radiation treatment plans.
• Provide expert guidance for radiation therapy procedures and delivery.
• Lead quality assurance and radiation safety programs.
• Coordinate with Radiation Safety Officer on regulatory compliance.
• Support new technologies and process improvements.
• Contribute to department teamwork and continuous learning.
