Job summary

Weber Gallagher in Pennsylvania seeks a Senior Associate Attorney or Partner to join the General Liability/Medical Malpractice group in Scranton and other PA offices. This role handles defense litigation matters with potential leadership responsibility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of defense litigation experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and a PA active bar license. Strong research, writing and analytical skills are essential, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical malpractice/general liability defense litigation.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• PA active and good standing bar license required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct well-reasoned legal research.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, take depositions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel while adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
• Ability to work on-site in any of our Pennsylvania offices - Scranton, King of Prussia, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.
