Weber Gallagher seeks a Senior Associate Attorney or Partner for its General Liability/Medical Malpractice group in Scranton, PA. Manage a broad defense docket and contribute to client matters across our Pennsylvania offices in Scranton, King of Prussia, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.

The role requires 5+ years of defense litigation experience, a J.D., and an active PA law license, with strong research, writing, and analytical abilities, and a demonstrated interest in liability defense.

Qualifications

• PA active and good standing bar license required.

Responsibilities

Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an Senior Associate Attorney or Partner to join the General Liability/Medical Malpractice group in our Scranton, PA office. The individual will be responsible for handling a wide range of general liability, defense litigation matters. This position can be resident in any of our Pennsylvania offices - Scranton, King of Prussia, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct well-reasoned legal research.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, take depositions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel while adhering to all deadlines.
• Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
• Ability to work on-site in any of our Pennsylvania offices - Scranton, King of Prussia, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of experience, preferably in medical malpractice/general liability defense litigation.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• PA active and good standing bar license, required.
