Job summary

Weber Gallagher is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney or Partner to join our General Liability/Medical Malpractice group in Scranton, PA. The role handles a wide range of defense litigation matters with potential for relocation to other PA offices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and an active PA bar license. Strong research and writing skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical malpractice/general liability defense litigation.
• PA active and good standing bar license.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated interest in liability defense.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct well-reasoned legal research.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, take depositions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel while adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
• Ability to work on-site in any of our Pennsylvania offices - Scranton, King of Prussia, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.
