Job summary
Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist in Healthcare Professional Liability to manage moderately complex claims from intake to resolution. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related claims experience required.
- Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled or able to obtain licenses.
- Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with related claims software.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes coverage and settles moderately complex Healthcare Professional Liability claims.
- Manages full lifecycle of assigned claims files.
- Conducts thorough investigations to determine claims exposure and defense obligations.
- Prepares reserve and settlement authority requests for client and carrier approval.
- Negotiates settlements with clients, client attorneys, and Public Adjusters.
- Ensures claims handling complies with client expectations, policy obligations and regulatory requirements.
