Job summary

Community Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Senior Lab Technician in Missoula, Montana. You will support daily lab operations, collect specimens, and run tests across specialties to aid diagnosis and monitoring.

You will lead quality control, manage instrument maintenance, and train staff. Required is a Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology with 3–5 years in high complexity testing and MT/MLS certification (ASCP/AMT).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required.
• Three to five years of laboratory experience in high complexity testing.
• Proven leadership and technical skills in a clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory.
• Collects specimens and performs testing across laboratory areas.
• Oversees quality control and initiates corrective actions when needed.
• Reviews instrument maintenance logs and troubleshoots issues.
• Trains new employees and coordinates competency assessments.
• Coordinates quarterly and annual lab equipment checks.
