Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a full-time clinical laboratory scientist in Peabody, MA to perform diverse assays across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Andrology and Microbiology. You will execute startup, maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments, ensure QC/QA, and report results via the laboratory computer system.

The role requires a baccalaureate degree with NAACLS internship, and eligibility for ASCP/NCA/AMT certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree including a laboratory internship at an NAACLS-certified institution.
• Eligible for certification by ASCP Board of Registry or NCA or AMT within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clinical assays and supporting work across disciplines.
• Perform start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting on instruments and equipment.
• Contribute to quality control/assurance and report results.
• Record results accurately and report STAT/critical values.
• Assist in training new staff and students.
• Cover rotating weekends and holidays; phlebotomy is required.
