Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Med Lab Scientist 3 to perform and monitor a full range of laboratory tests and studies. You will assist with supervising laboratory operations, oversee quality control, and ensure instrument maintenance with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include reporting results, maintaining supplies, and collaborating across disciplines to support patient care and departmental projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Certification/licensure required or preferred from recognized agencies (ASCP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests in accordance with procedures and regulations.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintains instrument calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Accurately reports test results and maintains inventory of supplies.
• Communicates effectively with lab personnel and other departments.
• Participates in projects and educational activities; supports staff training.
