Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Med Lab Scientist 2 to perform a full range of routine and complex lab tests and contribute to quality control and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include instrument calibration, test result reporting, inventory management, and participation in education initiatives across the lab team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above minimum qualification.
• Experience: Less than 1 year.
• Certifications: ASCP options or ABHI-related certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety and infection control.
• Performs instrument maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Accurately reports test results.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains communication with lab personnel and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
• Demonstrates and educates laboratory methods and skills to others.
