Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Med Lab Scientist 2 to perform and monitor a full range of laboratory tests and research. You will assume responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include performing tests per procedures, reporting results, maintaining safety standards, and supporting educational activities within the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years of work experience)
• Less than 1 year of Experience required
• Certifications from listed boards may be required: ASCP/AMT/AAB

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follows quality control, safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintains instrument calibration and troubleshooting.
• Reports test results accurately and timely.
• Maintains inventory of supplies.
• Collaborates with laboratory staff and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and education activities.
• Demonstrates laboratory techniques and skills to others.
