Job summary
Intermountain Healthcare in Murray, UT is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/MLS Advanced in the Central Laboratory. You will assist leadership with advanced technical duties in chemistry, oversee QC, instrument maintenance, and regulatory compliance, and support proficiency testing and CAP activities. The role requires 2+ years of clinical lab experience and ASCP certification, with shifts including evenings and on-call.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology or chemical, physical, biological, or equivalent.
ASCP certification or equivalent as approved by Manager and HR, maintained to remain in the job.
Two years of clinical laboratory experience, required.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call.
Responsibilities
Oversee quality control, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Assist with external proficiency testing and regulatory compliance.
Lead inventory control and assist with personnel activities in the technical area.
Participate in new instrument evaluation, implementation, and policy development.
Support system work groups and standardization initiatives within Laboratory Services.
