Job summary

Intermountain Health Sevier Valley Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLS Advanced to support the Supervisor and Laboratory Services. The role oversees QC, instrument maintenance, and regulatory compliance with potential CAP inspection assistance.

Expect 4-10 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. An experienced MLS/Med Tech with ASCP certification and at least two years of clinical lab work will thrive in this role, with opportunities for advancement and involvement in system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical laboratory/medical technology field or equivalent is required.
• ASCP certification or equivalent must be maintained to remain in the role.
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience are required.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with proficiency testing and regulatory standards.
• Lead and assist inventory control processes.
• Support the supervisor with personnel duties including training and competency assessment.
• Provide technical support with AMRS, correlations, recalls and instrument troubleshooting.
• Lead new instrument evaluation and implementation.
• Develop and refine laboratory policies and procedures.
• Possibly lead system Work Groups for standardization.
• Maintain bench competency and shift coverage, including on-call.
