Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah is hiring a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform a range of tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology and transfusion.

You will analyze results, maintain equipment, and ensure quality control, while collaborating with clinicians to support patient care decisions. A bachelor’s in clinical laboratory science and ASCP certification are required or planned within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology or related field from an accredited institution.
• ASCP certification or equivalent required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and transfusion.
• Interpret and report test results accurately for patient care.
• Maintain quality control procedures and calibrations.
• Prepare and handle specimens following proper protocols.
• Record data and generate detailed reports for healthcare providers.
• Maintain laboratory safety and assist with troubleshooting equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses on test results and patient care decisions.
