Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform bench duties across Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Microbiology. A Bachelor's degree in MLS or related field with clinical rotation is required, and ASCP/AMT certifications must be obtained upon hire.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of clinical lab experience, strong communication with physicians and staff, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited college/university with clinical rotation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science AND completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program.
• Bachelor's Degree with 60 semester/90 quarter hours including chemistry, biology and at least three months full-time clinical experience in all laboratory areas.
• 3 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing moderate and high complexity testing.
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP.
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - ASCP.
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - AMT.
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - AMT.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex tests in assigned lab sections (Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular, etc.).
• Plan, perform, and evaluate laboratory testing analyses and maintain communications with physicians and staff.
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and clinical teams to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science AND MLS Program

60 semester/90 quarter hours including chemistry and biology with 3 months clinical experience

3 years clinical laboratory experience in moderate/high complexity testing
