Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform bench duties across hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, microbiology, molecular, and other laboratory sections. You will plan, perform, and evaluate tests while communicating with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a MLS-related bachelor’s degree with clinical rotation, national certification (ASCP/AMT/AMT MLS or equivalent), and at least 1 year of

Qualifications

Must have 1 year in a clinical laboratory performing moderate and high complexity testing.
Bachelor’s Degree in MLS from an accredited program with clinical rotation OR related science degree with MLS program.
US education evaluated for equivalency if earned outside the United States.

Responsibilities

Plan, perform and evaluate laboratory testing across assigned sections.
Maintain communications with physicians, patients, and hospital staff.
Participate in quality assurance and adherence to laboratory policies.
