Job summary

MaineHealth NorDx in Portland, ME is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to support pre-analytical functions such as phlebotomy, specimen processing, and order entry. Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: PBT/MLA from ASCP, AMT, or NHA preferred.
• Experience: One year of phlebotomy and specimen management experience required.
• May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical functions including specimen collection and processing.
• Handle order entry, waived testing, quality control, and specialty collection.
• Represent the organization in patient settings and coordinate with other sites as needed.
