Job summary

NorDx Laboratory at MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to support pre-analytical processes in patient settings. You will perform specimen collection phlebotomy, specimen processing, and assist with waived testing and specialty collection.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and one year of phlebotomy/specimen management experience. ASCP/AMT/NHA PBT/MLA credentials preferred; valid driver's license may be required for travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• PBT/MLA from ASCP, AMT, or NHA preferred.
• 1 year of experience in Phlebotomy and Specimen Management required.
• May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organization in patient settings as a liaison.
• Perform pre-analytical functions including specimen collection phlebotomy, processing, and specialty collection.
• Handle order entry, waived testing, and quality control tasks.
