Job summary

NorDx, part of MaineHealth, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to serve as a liaison in patient settings and perform essential pre-analytical functions including phlebotomy, specimen processing, and order entry. The role involves waived testing, quality control, and specialty collection across Maine and New Hampshire locations.

The position requires one year of phlebotomy and specimen management experience, with ASCP/AMT/NHA MLA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• PBT/MLA from ASCP, AMT, or NHA preferred; valid Driver's License may be required if travel to other sites.
• One year of experience in Phlebotomy and Specimen Management required.
• May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organization in patient settings as liaison.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Handle order entry and waived testing.
• Conduct quality control and specialty collection tasks.
