MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to serve as a liaison across patient settings and perform essential pre-analytical duties including specimen collection, processing, order entry, and quality control.

The role supports NorDx Laboratory and requires phlebotomy skills, with potential travel to other sites. A HS diploma and relevant certification are preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: PBT/MLA from ASCP, AMT, or NHA preferred.
• Valid Driver's License may be required if travel to other work sites/locations.
• Experience: One year of experience in Phlebotomy and Specimen Management required.
• May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Perform specimen collection by phlebotomy.
• Process specimens and assist with specialty testing.
• Enter orders and perform waived testing.
• Maintain quality control and assurance in pre-analytical processes.
• Coordinate specimen collection across patient settings and sites.
