MaineHealth's NorDx Laboratory is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to act as a liaison in patient settings and perform key pre-analytical functions, including specimen collection, processing, specialty testing, order entry, waived testing, quality control, and specialty collection.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and PBT/MLA certification, with at least one year of phlebotomy and specimen management experience. May travel to other sites as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• PBT/MLA certification from ASCP, AMT, or NHA preferred. Valid Driver's License may be required if role involves travel to other work sites/locations.
• One year of experience in Phlebotomy and Specimen Management required.
• May be asked to work at other sites/locations.

Mansioni

• Perform phlebotomy and assist with specimen collection and handling.
• Process specimens and assist with waived testing and quality control.
• Assist with specialty testing and order entry.
• Coordinate with other sites as needed.
