Job summary

You will mentor less experienced interpreters, support onboarding, and partner with department leaders to enhance language access programs, training curricula, and quality initiatives while ensuring accurate medical terminology and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years translation/interpretation experience in Spanish or English.
• BTG Medical Interpreter certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for patients, families, providers and staff in clinical and non-clinical settings.
• Translate medical and non-medical documents per established standards.
• Mentor and coach less experienced interpreters.
• Support onboarding and assessments of new interpreters.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve training curricula and workflows.
• Maintain medical terminology proficiency and EMR documentation.
