Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Lead Medical Equipment Planner to work directly with clients and frontline staff to extrapolate information and develop comprehensive medical equipment lists. The role requires deep knowledge of hospital room types and basic equipment needs, with reporting to the Senior Medical Equipment Manager.

You will manage vendor relationships, validate equipment standards, and lead discussions to ensure equipment plans align with client approvals.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in healthcare facilities, biomedical, or medical equipment
• 5-7 years of medical equipment planning experience
• Experience interfacing with clinicians, administrators, and AE to develop initial medical equipment lists
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

Responsibilities

• Procure medical equipment projects and maintain client relationships
• Participate in pre-con pricing for medical equipment and provide project information
• Write client proposals and assist in refining project documents
• Supervise and train Medical Equipment Planners
• Plan and run large or complex meetings with owners, design teams, and vendors
• Serve as the client’s direct point of contact on assigned projects
• Oversee development of medical equipment databases and procurement schedules
• Facilitate construction interface in medical equipment planning
• Present information to support client decision making
• Provide onsite coverage to execute the medical equipment plan
• Manage project costs and subcontractor direction according to client needs
