Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Lead Medical Equipment Planner to develop comprehensive equipment lists by interfacing with clients and frontline staff. You will validate standards, manage approvals for non-standard items, and leverage relationships with vendors to guide critical equipment decisions.

The role requires industry knowledge of hospital rooms and equipment, with leadership responsibilities for mentoring planners and coordinating with the Senior Medical Equipment Manager.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field to include healthcare facilities, biomedical, medical equipment
• 5-7 years of medical equipment planning experience
• Experience interfacing with clinicians, administrators, and AE to develop initial medical equipment lists
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Procure medical equipment projects and maintain relationships with existing clients
• Assist in pre-con pricing for medical equipment and provide expertise on complex equipment items
• Draft client proposals and refine project description sheets and resumes
• Supervise and train Medical Equipment Planners
• Plan and run large meetings with Owner, design team and vendors
• Act as direct client contact on assigned projects
• Resolve project problems with multiple parties
• Oversee development of medical equipment databases and procurement schedules
• Coordinate construction interface in medical equipment planning
• Present information to facilitate client decisions
• Provide onsite coverage to execute the medical equipment plan
• Manage project scope and cost reporting
• Direct subcontractors per client direction
