Job summary

1 Care Partners in Richmond, VA is seeking a Medical Director/Attending to provide comprehensive medical care in a skilled nursing facility. You will assess, diagnose, and manage residents, collaborating with nurses and a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.

The role requires an active Virginia MD/DO license and board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Virginia MD/DO license required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility, long-term care, or geriatric medicine preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and quality outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on disease management and preventive care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements.
• Offer clinical guidance to NPs and other healthcare staff.
