Job summary

Apploi in Lynchburg, VA seeks a Medical Director/Attending to provide comprehensive medical care in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The physician will assess, diagnose, and manage residents’ health, collaborating with NPs and nursing staff to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active MD or DO license in Virginia.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility, long-term care, or geriatric medicine.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and quality outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on disease management and preventive care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements.
• Offer clinical guidance to Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare staff.
