Job summary

MiniMed in Northridge, CA is hiring a Product Test Engineer II to develop and execute verification tests for next‑generation insulin delivery systems. You will work in a hands‑on lab, applying statistics and design controls to ensure safety, reliability, and performance, while collaborating with R&D and quality teams.

The role emphasizes lab‑based testing, protocol authoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to support design transfer and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Direct experience with technical documentation including engineering reports, SOPs, test protocols, and lab notebooks.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or medical device environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute design verification and test strategies for electromechanical medical devices with cross-functional teams.
• Develop test methods for simulated use environments to ensure safety across real-world conditions.
• Apply statistical techniques to support test method validation and reliability demonstrations.
• Contribute to risk management deliverables (DFMEA/PFMEA and Hazard Analysis) and address essential design outputs.
• Author and maintain technical docs including test protocols and lab notebooks.
• Participate on project teams and support change control evaluations and quality decisions.
• Support CAPA investigations, post-market analysis, and regulatory audits as needed.
