Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Principal Test Engineer for a hybrid role based near Northridge, CA. You will lead test strategy development for wireless insulin therapy systems, design EMC/RF plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, regulatory, and quality to ensure safety and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering with 7+ years of experience (or an advanced degree with 5+ years), and up to 30% travel. On-site presence is expected at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience working on electromechanical systems or medical devices.
• Experience with test method development and measurement systems analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and support testing at external test labs within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies for insulin therapy system family.
• Create EMC and RF test strategies for new product development.
• Interpret data from lab equipment and promote user-centric designs.
• Collaborate across R&D and with regulatory teams to expand global availability.
