Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is recruiting for a Senior Package Engineer in Jacksonville, FL. This role leads packaging design, development, validation, and maintenance of medical device packaging systems across R&D and production, ensuring protection, labeling, and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least two years' experience in package engineering, familiarity with ISO 11607, and ability to lead projects, perform usability and risk analyses,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Experience in Package Engineering.
• Knowledge of ISO 11607-1:2019 and ISO 11607-2:2019.
• Knowledge of Human Factors and Usability testing for labeling content.
• Experience with FDA and/or notified body audits in packaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain packaging systems for medical devices.
• Lead multiple packaging projects with significant scope.
• Qualify packaging components and systems for R&D and Packaging Systems.
• Provide technical oversight for packaging materials and processes.
• Ensure packaging design meets quality, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Contribute to packaging/labeling improvement projects.
• Travel up to 25% domestically or internationally.
