Job summary

Wolters Kluwer in the United States seeks a Senior Content Editor for the Medical Education and Medical Practice portfolios. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in academic and/or healthcare publishing.

Responsibilities

• Develop content and assets for print and digital products serving medical education and clinical practice audiences.
• Oversee assigned high-volume products during the development cycle to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery within budget.
• Collaborate with SMEs, authors, vendors, and internal staff to develop clear, engaging content for multiple platforms.
• Analyze proposals and sample content to determine market viability and evaluate SME/author capabilities per project plan.
• Demonstrate development editing capabilities and provide direction to authors/SMEs as needed.
• Create and monitor project budgets and schedules, reporting to management.
• Problem-solve quality or scope issues and coordinate with teams to resolve breakdowns.
• Support development of digital resources to enrich products for digital delivery and discovery.
• Enforce editorial standards and ensure compliance with legal/ethical guidelines.
• Evaluate content performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives for digital content.
