Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin seeks an experienced coding supervisor to lead multispecialty documentation, coding, and billing efforts. You will guide and train staff, resolve denial issues, and ensure accurate CPT/ICD-10 coding for optimal reimbursement.

Responsibilities include supervising in the supervisor’s absence, onboarding staff, and developing protocols. The role emphasizes collaboration within a controlled clinical setting and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in multispecialty coding including CPT and ICD-10 CM.
• Experience leading and training a coding/billing team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required to reduce denials.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert coding guidance across multispecialty services.
• Supervise staff and serve as acting supervisor as needed.
• Train new and existing coding staff.
• Identify and resolve denial and reimbursement issues to optimize revenue.
• Develop and maintain coding protocols and participate in system testing.
