Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management or related field from an accredited program, or Bachelor’s Degree in HIM or related field, or professional coding certification.
• A minimum of 2 years acute care facility coding experience; prior HIS Coding Specialist I experience preferred.
• Certification in RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-H/CPC or equivalent.
