Zusammenfassung

athenahealth is seeking a Senior Coding Associate for Customer Insights to optimize the adoption of the athenaOne Medical Coding Service. You will translate customer needs into process improvements, mentor teammates, and manage multiple projects with stakeholders across the organization.

You will apply your medical coding expertise, governance knowledge, and analytics to drive better customer outcomes while supporting scale and automation initiatives within a collaborative team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate level of professional experience.
• CPC and/or CCS certified from AAPC or AHIMA required.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Medical Coding.
• Experience with cross-functional groups and stakeholder communication.
• Experience communicating directly with customers and/or medical providers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Experience implementing computer assisted coding and/or coding automation tools preferred.
• Experience auditing medical charts for coding accuracy and compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Agile development methodologies preferred.
• SQL experience preferred.

• Analyze provider documentation and audits to identify areas of opportunity to improve documentation and system usage.
• Analyze customer configurations and practice information relevant to Medical Coding to identify gaps and disruptions.
• Pursue continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, outcomes, and scalability.
• Design elegant solutions that favor automation and product enhancement over manual workflows.
• Master workflow design and analysis using Lean Six Sigma or similar techniques.
• Identify opportunities to expand value for clients through additional services.
• Independently manage multiple complex projects with proper prioritization.
• Create project presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Ensure presentations are on-brand, clear, informative, and respectful of stakeholders’ time.
• Provide mentoring and education opportunities for new hires and colleagues.
