Job summary

Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking a Senior Coding Educator to educate providers on documentation for accurate coding and billing across specialties. You will review notes, apply coding rules, and report opportunities to improve compliance and revenue.

The role requires 3-5 years of outpatient coding experience, RHIA/RHIT/CCS-P/CCS/CPC credentials, and strong presentation skills. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on education and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; RHIA/RHIT/CCS-P/CCS/CPC required; CPMA preferred.
• 3-5 years in physician/hospital outpatient billing, reimbursement, audits, chart review, coding compliance.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to interpret medical records and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes progress notes and documentation for coding accuracy.
• Assigns ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes per guidelines and payer policies.
• Educates physicians and staff on coding rules and CMS/OIG requirements.
• Provides feedback and opportunities to improve coding quality and reimbursement.
• Collaborates with Billing, Compliance, and IT to resolve coding issues.
