Job summary

Decypher is seeking a Medical Coder III for a 100% remote role. You will apply advanced ICD-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS knowledge to support institutional and professional coding operations across diverse healthcare settings.

Requirements include 5+ years of coding/audit experience or 3 years in a Military Treatment Facility, plus certifications (AAPC/CPC, AHIMA/CCS-P, CIC/CCS or RHIA/RHIT as noted). Remote work, up to 40 hours per week, and US citizenship may apply.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of ICD-CM/PCS; HCPCS; CPT used in institutional and professional coding.
• In-depth understanding of reimbursement systems (PPS, DRGs, APCs, RBRVS).
• Strong knowledge of industry terminology; anatomy and physiology; pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of ICD-CM/PCS, HCPCS, CPT as used in coding.
• Advanced knowledge of reimbursement systems (PPS, DRGs; APCs; RBRVS).
