Job summary

Savista is hiring a Pro Fee Coder I to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS codes for various patient types. You will validate APC calculations and ensure compliant coding for hospital and physician billing while interacting with client staff.

The role requires coding certification, two years of experience, and strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and coding guidelines. Collaboration and ongoing education are expected.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
• Ability to code at 95% quality while meeting standards.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC and E/M coding.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with client staff and Savista team as requested.
• Keep up to date with coding guidelines and third‑party requirements.
