Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator II to support the SCI Reid Family Innovative Therapeutics and Research Unit. You will independently plan and perform duties including scheduling patients, coordinating treatments, handling insurance verifications, referrals, authorizations, and maintaining medical records.

Role requires CMA program graduate, WA MA certification, and BLS. Strong phone triage and billing reconciliation skills are expected; on-site work at Swedish First

Qualifications

• Graduate of certified medical assistant program.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new patients and follow-up clinic appointments.
• Arrange subsequent treatments and requested diagnostic tests.
• Acquire insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations.
• Prepare and maintain the patient’s medical record and reconcile billing issues.
• Answer and triage calls across multiple lines.
