Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school.
• Minimum three years as Certified Medical Assistant.
• Maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintain one of the listed CMA/MA certifications (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA, NRCAMA, RMA) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for operational issues under supervision of nursing leadership.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical outcome improvements.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Collaborates with administrative and operations staff.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists with examinations and documents orders in the EMR.
