Job summary

Orlando Health Physician Associates, part of Orlando Health, seeks a Senior Certified Medical Assistant for an ambulatory OBGYN-focused practice in Central Florida. The role supports physicians and APPs, coordinates patient care, and participates in quality initiatives.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and MA certification; at least three years of CMA experience and current BLS certification are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant training from an approved program or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Participates in quality initiatives, goal attainment, and clinical outcome process improvement activities.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation; assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures; documents patient data and treatments.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction; schedule and coordinate tests and specialty referrals.

Education
