Job summary

Pediatric Associates in Texas seeks an experienced Medical Assistant Lead to support daily clinical operations for small offices. You will supervise MA staff, assist clinicians, and help manage vaccines, vitals, and lab tasks in a pediatric setting.

The role requires strong leadership, infection control, EHR proficiency, and excellent communication to ensure safe, efficient patient care across multiple office locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma required.
• MA Diploma/Certification required or 3 years MA experience will be commensurate with Diploma/Certification.
• Active BLS certification required.
• 3 years Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting required.
• 2 years as PA Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate MA staff and monitor patient visit times and experiences.
• Assist with clinical and administrative duties under clinician supervision.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and vaccine handling standards.
• Record patient vitals and notify clinicians of abnormalities.
• Prepare patients for examination and support various age-appropriate procedures.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation and provide information statements.
• Ensure vaccine cold chain management and proper storage.
• Administer injections and assist with injections per policy.
• Coordinate referrals, prescriptions and follow-up appointments.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and lab sample handling.
