Job summary

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality, team-based pediatric care under clinician supervision. You will support clinical and administrative functions, maintain infection control, and assist with vaccines and vitals, while documenting comprehensive patient histories in the EHR.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or MA certification (or 3+ years MA experience), is proficient with EHRs, and holds an active BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma / Certification required OR a minimum of 3 years MA experience.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and welcome patients.
• Perform and document intake vitals and notify clinician of abnormalities.
• Document patient history, medications, allergies, immunizations and histories in the EHR.
• Assist clinicians with exams and age-appropriate procedures as directed.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation and provide education.
• Adhere to vaccine cold chain management and vaccine administration.
• Handle patient follow-up tasks and referrals, including forms and preauthorizations.
• Conduct phlebotomy and proper specimen handling as assigned.
• Support the care team to meet patient needs and quality indicators.
