Job summary

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant Lead to assist the Practice Manager in overseeing daily clinical operations in small to mid-sized pediatric offices.

You will supervise Medical Assistants, ensure high-quality patient care, manage intake vitals, immunizations, vaccines, and infection control, and support care management teams in chronic disease management for pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting.
• 2 years as PA Medical Assistant preferred.
• MA Diploma/Certification required or a minimum of 3 years MA experience will be commensurate with Diploma/Certification requirement.
• Active BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports practice manager and PA management in training, development and competency evaluation of the Medical Assistant staff.
• May assume all clinical administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Practice Manager.
• Maintains high quality patient experience, welcomes patients; ensures a safe patient environment and proper supplies.
• Performs and documents patient intake vitals (height, weight, temp, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Interviews patient, documents chief complaint, meds, allergies, and histories; obtains medical records as needed.
• Prepares patient for clinician examination; assists with age-appropriate screenings and procedures.
• Performs vaccine/medication reconciliation and provides vaccine information statements.
